Press (New Zealand) selects SCC MediaServer for central multimedia archives ALPHARETTA, GA., (September 29, 2006) -- The Software Construction Company (SCC) is pleased to announce the sale of an SCC MediaServer multimedia content management system to Allied Press, publishers of The Otago Daily Times, New Zealand's oldest daily newspaper. Allied Press also has a number of other daily and community newspapers and commercial printing operations throughout southern New Zealand, and also operates Dunedin's regional television station, Channel 9. The SCC MediaServer system will serve as the a central photo desk for wire and staff generated photos and graphics, as well as a central archive of photos, graphics, text articles and complete newspaper pages stored in Acrobat PDF format. The system will provide client access to SCC MediaGrid and Web Browser users on both Windows and Macintosh OSX workstations and will be tightly integrated with an Atex editorial system.
